2020 | Château Deyrem Valentin | Margaux

Soft, smooth, subtle, juicy and creamy, this has Margaux written all over it, giving a nuanced and perfumed wine with everything in balance. It's not the most refined, given the plushness of tannins and the quite ripe fruit doing most of the talking right now, but this is appealing with a chalky edge to the tannins. A hint of alcohol does come through on the finish with clear wood spicing; bountiful and generous, this needs time, but promising.
